The Lich is a powerful spellcaster who can summon ghosts and heal himself. His powerful basic attack is the longest ranged normal attack out of all the trainable monsters. The Lich is also one of two flying units that you can train, the other being the dragon. You unlock the Lich after 4-9.
Behavior[]
The Lich's powerful long-ranged magic makes it ideal for defending the castle while you build up your army. At tier 3, his regular attack is changed to a red beam which hits all enemies which touch the beam, while at tier 4, the beam appears turquoise. The result of this is that the lich becomes very useful in killing groups of enemies. His special starts by shooting a single-target projectile that summons a ghost on kill and later will just summon a ghost, then summon another ghost on kill, and it can heal himself. The lich is also a flying unit, making him immune to ground hazards. Due to the lich's high cost and cooldown, but solo-centered special, the lich is a great option for building a massive push or for Endless Action, but a poor choice for an early offensive play.
Special[]
In tier 1, his special is called the "Soul Steal". When the special is performed, the lich shoots light green, soul-draining magic, with an infinite projectile range and a projectile speed of 250, 0.47s after the special animation began. If an enemy is killed by this special, then a tier 1 ghost is created, with a limit of 1 ghost. If cast near enemies, the lich will also damage any enemies adjacent to him, while the projectile still travels. This special scales off special, has a recovery animation of 0.8s, and AI-controlled liches will only target enemies with this ability within a range of 200. (30 Souls)
In tier 2, his Soul Steal now creates a tier 2 ghost on kill that appears 15% larger than the tier 1 ghost, with a limit of 2 ghosts, and the projectile has 50% lifesteal. (60 Souls)
In tier 3, his Soul Steal now appears as a red skull, summons a tier 3 ghost, 0.27s after the special animation began, and on kill, creates a tier 3 ghost, both appear 30% larger than the tier 1 ghost, with a limit of 3 ghosts. Using this special again will replace the ghost that was previously summoned, and the projectile now has 100% lifesteal. (70 Souls)
In tier 4, his Soul Steal now appears as a turquoise skull, summons a tier 4 ghost, 0.27s after the special animation began, and on kill, creates a tier 3 ghost, both have a 100% special chance, with a limit of 3 ghosts. Using this special again will replace the ghost that was previously summoned. (70 Souls)

Trivia[]
- The lich swings his staff with one arm, while the wizard must use two hands in tiers 3 and 4. This must mean that the large beam attack for tier 3 and 4 wizards weigh down the staff, while that states one of two things for the tier 3 lich:
- He has more physical strength than wizards.
- His staff doesn't get weighed down by more magic.
- In Endless Arcade, the lich at tier 3 still shoots his long beam, while in Wizard Defense, all wizard tiers only shoot small bursts. That makes arcade mode easier, as it is probably to compensate for the lich lacking area of effect abilities at higher tiers.
- The lich at tier 2 or above is the best choice to use in Endless Action, due to his high range, high damage, and capacity to heal himself on demand. Without the lich, you will struggle to even get 13 soulstones from all the endless action levels, even if all other options are maxed out.
- Endless Action was balanced around the Lich.
