Units << Switch Buttom MW >>

The Troll is a strong melee unit, capable of absorbing lots of damage and dealing heavy damage. He costs 85 gems to summon. You unlock him after 4-7, the same level that the troll is introduced in. Trolls are the more expensive, and slightly less survivable, but with more lethal damage, alternative to the gargoyle.

Behavior[]

The troll is very aggressive if encountered, rapidly swinging his weapon. The main function of the troll is to encounter the boss with his high survivability and damage, combined his with area clear special that deals good damage, making the troll a very useful unit to take a boss down. The troll is great in 1 vs 1 combat but fighting a ranged unit upfront will cause the troll to take heavy damage. His special makes for a great way to clear groups of enemies if you get the troll close enough to an enemy.

Special[]

In tier 1, his special is called the "Troll Smash". The Troll lifts up his club and smashes it into the ground, sending a shockwave that shakes the screen and deals area damage to enemies within a radius of 80, 0.4s after the special was cast. This special scales off critical and special, has a recovery animation of 1s, and enemies hit have a 75% chance to be stunned for 3s. (40 Souls)

In tier 2, his Troll Smash is now repeated once, the smashes have a radius of 100 now, and the special has a recovery animation of 1.07s per smash, for a total recovery animation of 2.13s. (50 Souls)

In tier 3, his Troll Smash is now repeated twice, area damage is now dealt 0.2s after each smash animation begins, and each smash now has a recovery animation of 0.73s, for a total recovery animation of 2.2s. (60 Souls)

In tier 4, his Troll Smash now deals area damage twice per smash, with the first area damage being dealt 0.18s after the animation began, while the second area damage occurs across all lanes to enemies within a radius of 100, 0.24s after the animation began. Each smash now has a recovery animation of 0.69s, for a total recovery animation of 2.08s. (70 Souls)

Character[]

The main troll character is the game is Coco. He's a troll that lives in the swamp and provides no passage until they pay him. If they don't pay him, he will take their soul! Coco works with imps.

You will encounter the troll in 4-7. Before the level starts, Coco tries to take the monsters souls, but is convinced by Funny Bones that monsters don't have souls and that he should instead take the souls from the approaching heroes. He is tier 1.

Zombie Coco[]

Coco goes to the netherworld and comes back with an brand new outfit when you arrive to 5-3, now being tier 2. It's possible that Zombie Coco is in fact, the first in command when it comes to deadwalkers.

Trivia[]

  • Trolls have the best critical chance in the game. Their special also is based on critical chance, making it lethal.
  • In older versions of Legendary Wars, Trolls instead had a special which was just a heavy swing that poisoned units for 5dps for 5s. Tier 1 trolls also had double the health they currently have and were called Trolly in the files.
  • The name of the Troll is a reference to the engine that the Wars games run on, Cocos2d.
