Gargoyles are bulky soldiers made of rock, with high defense and health. Out of every unit in the game, a tier 4 gargoyle has second the most effective hp after defense is accounted for, surpassing even the reap, and slightly behind the dragon. You unlock the Gargoyle after beating 3-3.
Behavior[]
Gargoyles are slow and will approach enemies until they reach melee range. Once they reach an enemy, they will attack with their sword and fist, with the fist hit being dealt 0.13s after the sword hit. In lower tiers their special allows them to engage an enemy and deal area damage to multiple foes, while in higher tiers, their special is primarily for emergencies due to its short range and lack of mobility.
Special[]
In tier 1, his special is called the "Slam Down". When the special is performed, the Gargoyle leaps into the air, increasing his speed by +300% of his normal pace, then is moved higher into the air, curling up and dealing area damage to enemies within a radius of 40, 0.4s after the special was cast, then 0.66s after the animation began, the gargoyle deals area damage to enemies within a radius of 40. If an enemy is in the way of the gargoyle, the gargoyle will stop moving to make sure that the damage is dealt to that enemy. This special scales off critical and special, has a recovery animation of 0.97s, enemies hit will be stunned for 3s, and AI-controlled gargoyles will only activate this ability within a range of 40. (25 Souls)
In tier 2, his Slam Down's second area of effect now occurs 0.75s after the animation began, and the special now lasts for 1.06s. (40 Souls)
In tier 3, his special is called "Squash". When the special is performed, the Gargoyle jumps into the air, dealing area damage to enemies within a radius of 40, 0.12s after the special was cast. The gargoyle then repeats this to do a second squash. This special lasts for 0.69s per squash, for a total of 1.38s, and enemies hit will be stunned for 3s. (60 Souls)
In tier 4, his special is called "Squash". When the special is performed, the Gargoyle jumps into the air, dealing area damage on all lanes to enemies within a radius of 80, 0.68s after the special was cast. The gargoyle then repeats this to do a second squash. This special lasts for 0.70s per squash, for a total of 1.41s, and enemies hit will be stunned for 3s. (70 Souls)
