Frostburn is the second area in the campaign that levels take place in. Characterized by a frigid, snowy wasteland, while you encounter the same enemies from the Sun Kingdom, you also encounter new enemies that start to become more advanced. The hazard that characterizes this area is the bridge blizzard, which pushes any passing units to the left whenever the blizzard is active.
Enemies[]
The enemies encountered in this area are tier 1 knightys, elfys, miners, fairies, impys, dwarfys, and unicorns, tier 2 knightys, elfys, impys, dwarfys, and as bosses, a tier 2 dwarfy, a tier 2 unicorn, an Elfy Boss, a tier 3 impy, and a Dwarfy Boss.
The Miner is a melee enemy that swiftly hits once at a close range for his normal attack, and his special holds a bomb that deals area damage across all lanes, with a chance to ignite.
The Unicorn is a fast and lethal mid-ranged enemy that shoots a rainbow beam which hits all targets for his normal attack, and his special will perform a mid-range dash that will damage multiple units.
The Fairy are fast mid-ranged enemies that shoots magic for hers normal attack, and her special is her normal attack but with a chance to charm your units.
Hazard[]
The hazard found on non-sidescrolling Frostburn levels is the lava at the bridge.
The lava will damage any units caught in its area once for 5 damage. This lava lasts for 5s but begins with varying times for the different lanes.
On the top lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 780 and extends to cover a distance of 150, and the lava does not begin to start cycling until 25s after the level starts, at which point, the lava will activate every 27s.
On the middle lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 730 and extends to cover a distance of 250, and the lava does not begin to start cycling until 10s after the level starts, at which point, the lava will activate every 30s.
On the bottom lane, the bridge starts at a distance of 750 and extends to cover a distance of 250, and the lava begins to start cycling 0s after the level starts, activating every 24s.
Difficulty Changes[]
All levels, except sidescrolling and action levels, will have stronger enemies to face when you replay them on a higher difficulty. Below are the modifiers applied to enemy and automatically spawning units on a higher difficulty:
