After looting a hero village, the deadknight and skullys prepare to defend against the knightys. In this level, you are taught the basics on how to play castle levels. You learn how to collect gems from gremlins and how to train units. To win, you must kill the large tier 1 knight.

In this level you face tier 1 knightys, along with a large tier 1 knighty. The large tier 1 knighty must be killed to win.
10s after the level starts, a wave of 8 tier 1 knightys, spawns, cycling through lanes, starting from the middle lane.
6s after you train a monster when prompted (train a unit, including a gremlin, 3s after you train a gremlin and get 10 gems), 1 tier 1 knighty spawns on the top lane, a distance of 700 from the level's starting point.
20s after the lone knighty spawns, a wave of 8 tier 1 knightys, spawns, cycling through lanes, starting from the middle lane.
100s after the level starts, a wave of 6 tier 1 knightys, followed by 1 big tier 1 knighty, spawns, cycling through lanes, starting from the bottom lane. The big tier 1 knighty must be killed to win.
110s after the lone knighty spawns, a wave of 6 tier 1 knightys, followed by 1 big tier 1 knighty, spawns, cycling through lanes, starting from the bottom lane. The big tier 1 knighty must be killed to win.

- When Monster Wars was originally submitted to the App Store, a file required to spawn units was deleted on accident, causing this level to be unbeatable.
- Hard and Legendary mode repeats the waves, but Hero mode does not repeat the waves.
- This level is one of the few levels with only 1 enemy type of 1 tier, the other levels being 1-4 and 1-5.
